Red Plugin Suite Product Registration

  1. If you have a Focusrite account, log in at id.focusritegroup.com/register.

    If you don't have an account you can create one by following the same link.

  2. If you have not already done so, register your Focusrite hardware product. If you've already registered your Focusrite hardware, go to the next step.

  3. Go to the My Software tab in your account.

  4. Find Red Plugin Suite in the list of software.

  5. Click View Details.

  6. Follow the instructions on the page. Shown below for clarity:

    1. Click to Copy your Red Plugin Suite activation code.

    2. Download the Red Plugin Suite installer from our downloads page: downloads.focusrite.com.

    3. Find the installer in your downloads folder and move onto the next section.

Installing Red Plugin Suite

This section teaches you how to install the Red Plugin Suite step-by-step.

To install the Red Plugin Suite:

  1. Go to: id.focusritegroup.com/my-software.

    1. If you're prompted, log in with your Focusrite account.

  2. Click on My Software at the top of the page.

  3. Scroll down until you see Red Plug-in Suite.

  4. Click View details.

  5. Click Click here to redeem..

  6. Click the Copy button to the right of your code.

  7. Click the link in your account (or below) to go to the downloads page:

    downloads.focusrite.com/focusrite/red-plugin-suite

  8. Click the Download button to download the Red Plugin Suite installer for your operating system.

  9. Go to your computer's Downloads folder and run the downloaded file.

  10. (Windows only) Click Yes if you're asked Do you want to allow this app to make chances to your device?.

  11. Follow the instructions in the installer to install the Red Plugin Suite.

To activate your plugins:

You need to activate the Red Plugin Suite before you can use it. You need an internet connection to get your activation code (as explained above). However, once you have the code, you won’t need an internet connection to activate the plugins.

In this guide, we've used Ableton Live Lite as the DAW used to open the plugin. However, most of the steps are the same in other DAWs.

  1. Open Ableton Live Lite (or any DAW) from your applications folder.

  2. Select a MIDI or Audio track with data on it.

  3. Go to Plug-Ins in the Browser on the left-hand side of Live.

  4. Find the Focusrite folder and open either Focusrite Red 2 EQ or Focusrite Red 3 Compressor

  5. The following Analytics window appears:

  6. Click either Don't Share or Share with Focusrite– you can always change the analytics later in the Settings page.

  7. Enter the e-mail address for your Focusrite account. It must be the same email address as your Focusrite account.

    Paste the code you copied earlier in this guide into the Activation code field:

  8. Click Activate.

    This activates both the Red 2 EQ and Red 3 Compressor and they're ready to use across all plugin formats and DAWs on your computer.
