Focusrite Control 2を2i2 4th Genで使用する

Focusrite Control 2は、お使いのインターフェースを管理するためのソフトウェアです。ルーティング、モニタリング、ミキサーなど様々な設定が行えるほか、ファームウェア・アップデートなども実行できます。

macOSでインターフェースを切り替え

macOSで2i2を使用する場合は、複数のインターフェースを接続してFocusrite Control 2画面左上のタブから切り替えることができます。

複数のインターフェースを素早く切り替えることができる便利な機能ですが、機器セット機能はサポートしていません。

プリセットを使用する

プリセットを使用すると、2i2の設定をすばやく復元できます。特定のセッションやセットアップに合わせて設定を変更し、名前付きプリセットとして保存できます。次回これらの設定を呼び出す必要がある場合は、プリセットをロードできます。

Presets contain the following settings:

  • Input settings per channel:

    • チャンネル名

    • Input Gain

    • +48V

    • Inst

    • Safe mode

    • Air mode

    • Channel linking.

  • Mixer settings

    • Mix destination (Routed to →)

    • Pan and balance

    • Fader levels

注記

Focusrite Control 2のプリセットは、保存時に使用しているコンピューターに保存されます。2i2 4th Genの設定は本体に保持され、別のコンピューターやスタンドアローン・モードで使用することもできます。

Saving a Preset

Focusrite Control 2でプリセットを使用するには、事前に設定をプリセットとして保存しておく必要があります。プリセットは、新規保存と、既存のプリセットの上書きの2通りの方法で保存できます。

Saving a New Preset

  1. 設定をFocusrite Control 2で調整します。

  2. Focusrite Control 2ウインドウ左下のプリセット・ボタンをクリックします 。

  3. Click the New Preset button.

  4. 「Preset名」フィールドにプリセットの名前を入力します。あとで探しやすい名前を付けることをお勧めします。

  5. Click Save Preset.

プリセットを保存すると、プリセットの名前が左下に表示されます。そのプリセット内で設定を変更すると、プリセット名にアスタリスク * が表示され、設定が変更された事を示します。

When the name shows an asterisk * you can either create a new preset using the steps above, or you can overwrite the preset with the new changes.

Overwriting a Preset

  1. 既存のプリセットの設定を変更すると、プリセット名の横にアスタリスク * が表示されます。

  2. Focusrite Control 2ウインドウ左下のプリセット・ボタンをクリックします 。

  4. Click Overwrite.

  5. Before committing to overwriting a Preset, read the warning pop-up and click the Overwrite button to confirm overwriting the existing preset.

注意

Overwriting a preset replaces the stored preset's settings with your current settings. You can't undo this change.

Loading a Preset

Loading a preset recalls a set of settings you've saved previously.

  1. Focusrite Control 2ウインドウ左下のプリセット・ボタンをクリックします 。

  2. Click the preset you want to load.

  3. Click the Load button.

Renaming a Preset

保存された設定を変更せずにプリセット名を変更できる機能です。

  1. Focusrite Control 2ウインドウ左下のプリセット・ボタンをクリックします 。

  3. Click Rename.

  4. Type the new name for the Preset in the Preset Name field.

  5. Click Rename Preset.

Deleting a Preset

注意

Focusrite Control 2で削除したプリセットは復元することができず、削除の操作をアンドゥすることもできません。プリセットを削除しても、インターフェースの設定が変更されることはありません。

  1. Focusrite Control 2ウインドウ左下のプリセット・ボタンをクリックします 。

  2. 既存のプリセットにマウスを合わせ、プリセット名の右にある3つのドットA screenshot of Focusrite Control 2's Preset options button.をクリックします。

  3. Click Delete.

  4. Before committing to deleting a Preset, read the warning pop-up and click the Delete button to confirm deleting the preset.

プリセットのエクスポートとインポート

Focusrite Control 2で作成したプリセットは、アプリケーション内に保存されるほか、コンピューターにエクスポートすることもできます。プリセットをエクスポートすることで、バックアップとして保存したり、別のコンピュータで同じ設定を再現したり、他のアーティストやスタジオでのセッションに持ち出すことが可能になります。

Focusrite Control 2でプリセットを一度保存すると（Saving a Preset参照）、コンピューターにエクスポートが可能になります。

Focusrite Control 2プリセットをエキスポートするには：

  1. Focusrite Control 2ウインドウ左下のプリセット・ボタンをクリックします 。

    デフォルトでは、Focusrite Control 2というフォルダに保存されます。別のフォルダに保存することもできます。

Focusrite Control 2でプリセットをインポートするには：

  3. インポートしたいプリセットファイルを特定します。

  4. ファイルブラウザでプリセットを選択し、「開く」をクリックします。複数のプリセットを選択してインポートすることも可能です。

[en] Focusrite Control 2's parameters have MIDI assignments enabling you to map MIDI controllers to Focusrite Control 2 for a hands-on experience.

[en] This control enables you to use hardware MIDI controllers, or map software MIDI control to various parameters in Focusrite Control 2. The parameters available for you to control are listed in the following tables. The controls are mapped to both CC's and NRPN MIDI control.

[en] To enable MIDI control in Focusrite Control 2 you must complete the following steps:

  1. [en] Connect your MIDI Controller to your computer. 

  2. [en] Open Focusrite Control 2.

  4. [en] Go to the Application tab.

  5. [en] Under the MIDI Control dropdown, choose your MIDI device. 

  6. [en] Under the MIDI Channel dropdown, choose All channels, if you're only your MIDI controller with Focusrite Control 2, or pick the MIDI channel you'd like to use (you can set this on your MIDI device). 

  7. [en] Using the tables below, set each control on your MIDI controller to the MIDI CC or NRPN of the parameters in Focusrite Control 2 you'd like to control. For more information setting custom MIDI assignments on your MIDI controller, see your MIDI Controller's user guide.

[en] You must set each control on your MIDI controller to match the MIDI controls assigned to each parameter in Focusrite Control 2. There is no MIDI map functionality in Focusrite Control 2.

[en] On some interfaces there is only one Mix, on others there are many Mixes (Mix A, Mix B, Mix C etc.). To simplify things for smaller interfaces we've provided the first Mix's parameters as CCs and NPRNs.

[en] NRPNs are split into two parts, the Most Significant Byte (MSB) and Least Significant Byte (LSB). You set both values when you program your MIDI controller to send NRPNs.

[en] To control channels in the Mixer, you must set the MSB based on the channel you want to control (see the MSB assignments table), and the LSB based on the parameter and mix you want to adjust it in (see the LSB assignments table).

  • [en] The MSB specifies the Mixer channel you want to control. For example, an MSB of 34 specifies the channel, Playback 1.

  • [en] The LSB specifies the control itself and in which Mix (e.g Mix A, or Mix B). For example, an LSB of 4 specifies the channel's level in Mix B

[en] Therefore, if you set a control to NRPN 34:4 (MSB:LSB), this controls the Playback 1's level in Mix B.

[en] If you are trying to control a stereo pair, for example Playback 1–2, you only need to set the MSB to one of the channels and the single MIDI assignment controls both channels.

In the Preferences page, you have the tabs:

  • Sample rate

Sample rate タブ

Sample Rate (kHz)

Sample rate refers to the samples per second your computer is recording. The higher the value, the higher the quality; however, the higher the value, the more hard drive space your recordings take up.

注記

Some features, listed below, are not available at quad-band sample rates (176.4 and 192kHz).

Device tab

LED設定

Device reset

デバイスのリセットを実行すると、Scarlettを工場出荷時のデフォルト設定に戻すことができます。リセットを実行することで、現行の入力、ミキサー、およびサンプルレートの設定がすべて消去されます。

To do a device reset:

  1. Click Reset to default settings.

  2. 確認を促すポップアップが表示されます。

  3. Click Reset.

注記

When you do a device reset, your presets are not deleted. So after you've factory reset your device, you reload any previous settings you've saved as a Preset.

Application tab

Direct Metering（メーター）

Direct・タブのメーター表示方法を設定します。

  • Pre-fade（プリフェーダー） – フェーダーの位置に関わらず常に入力信号レベルを表示します。

  • Post-fade（ポストフェーダー） – フェーダー通過後のレベルを表示します。ミックスで実際に聴こえる音をより正確に反映します。

Usage data（使用状況データ）

このチェックボックスを有効にして、使用状況データの共有に同意していただくことがFocusrite Control 2の改善に役立ちます。詳細は、個人情報保護方針をご参照ください。

リモートデバイス - Focusrite Control 2モバイル・アプリのインストール

FocusriteはFocusrite Control 2のリリースに合わせて、Focusrite Control 2モバイル・アプリも公開しています。

モバイル・アプリを使用すると、同じWi-Fi®ネットワークに接続されているモバイル機器から、コンピューターで実行中のFocusrite Control 2をコントロールしたり、設定を確認することができます。

リモートデバイス・タブでは、以前にFocusrite Control 2に接続したスマートフォンやタブレットを管理できます。

Focusrite Control 2モバイル・アプリはAndroidおよびiOSに対応し、Google Play StoreまたはApple App Storeからダウンロードできます。以下のリンクまたはQRコードからストア・ページにアクセス可能です。

注記

Focusrite Control 2モバイル・アプリは、コンピューターで起動しているFocusrite Control 2をコントロールします。

アプリからScarlettを直接コントロールすることはできません。
