What is a plugin?
A plugin is a small piece of software you use inside your recording software (DAW) to process the sounds you've made or recorded.
Once you've installed the plugin you'll need a DAW to open it in, for example GarageBand, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, or Cubase.

Before you start to install Sonnox Soften, you'll need:

A macOS or Windows computer that meets Sonnox's system requirements.

Recording software (a DAW) such as GarageBand, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Cubase, FL Studio).

A Focusrite or Novation hardware product registered in your account.
